I really don't have the patience to update the other blog anymore so this is presently my primary blog I suppose.
I have an idea for a story but I haven't written in so long I fear I'll do the concept injustice. It would told from the point of view of a nurse in a juvenile mental hospital/insane asylum. She'd be talking about her experiences with a 16-17 year old boy. He would constantly confide in her that he really wasn't insane and that his father was royalty in a European country who placed him there for protection. The story would come to her in bits and pieces from him but she would remain unconvinced and just wrote him off as mentally ill. There would be little events here and there such as her discovering a ring with a royal-looking crest on it.. etc. which would make her think for a moment that it was true. Towards the end she has a glimmer of belief that this young boy is telling the truth and finally sits down with him and he tells her everything about his father and the riches in his family etc with great enthusiasm. A a week or so after speaking with the boy he commits suicide in his room. The nurse wants to see if everything the boy told her was true so she consults whoever is dealing with the body and such. He pulls up his file and tells the nurse that the boy was born in New Jersey, that his mother died soon after he was born, his brother was killed in a car accident, and his father's occupation was a historian. So none of it was ever true.. the boy was quite normal.
